The Innerfavoriten educational campus in Vienna's ‘Neues Landgut’ urban development area is a modern new building that combines a kindergarten, all-day school and music school under one roof and offers space for around 1,400 children and young people.
The architectural vision of creating an open learning space that combines education, community and urban space was successfully realised. For example, spacious roof gardens and terrace areas, interconnected by open staircases, extend the learning areas to the outside. Another characteristic feature is the grouping of the flexibly usable classrooms around shared central zones. These can be used as open learning landscapes, creating seamless transitions between lessons, group work and retreat.
A key design element of the compact structure of this educational campus is the ceiling and lighting solution from durlum. The STARLAM open-cell ceiling impresses with its clear lines and horizontal and vertical installation pattern. The white and green tones of the blades create a vibrant yet tranquil interior ambience. The slim OMEGA 40 linear lighting is aesthetically integrated into this open-cell ceiling. It provides uniform, glare-free illumination and creates an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, playing and creative interaction.
